POINTS & AWARDS

Points can be earned at any OPEN SHOW!!!! 

This includes Breed shows, Pony Club, 4-H, Saddle Club shows, rodeos, etc. 

 

You must PLACE in a class to get points.  Placings are typically listed on the show

bill that must be included with your points form.  However, if it is not listed, then 10 Placings will be assumed. 

(Ranking is not the same as Placing.)

Halter (Includes Lunge line)

Driving (All Driving events)

Western (Pleasure, Riding, Rail, etc)

Trail (Show, Judged Trail Rides, Endurance, Trail Trials, In Hand)

English (Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, etc.  NO Jumping.)

Sport Pony (Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Hunter Hack, Hunter over fences, etc.)

Gymkhana (Timed gaming events)

Working Cow Pony (Must involve bovine or Goats)
       
~Equitation (Includes Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation, Leadline, etc.)

 

 

Our point system is simple.  Ponies will receive 1/2 a point for every equine they are placed over. 

 

NOTE:  To be eligible for points, ponies must submit an official height at the beginning of every year, until the pony is 6 years of age.  ALSO, the pony must be shown by a QPA member for points to count.

 

Examples

Place 2nd with 4 in class = 1 point

Place 1st with 2 in class .5 points

Place 8th in class of 30 = 11 points
